Welcome to UK Aiki Extensions

Aiki Extensions is a non-profit organisation whose members apply the practice and principles of aikido in venues outside of conventional dojo settings.

Founded in 1998, AE helps members get in touch with each other, organises seminars and conferences, and runs projects world-wide. 

In 2005 the first Aiki Extensions type seminar was held in the UK. The "Building Bridges" seminar was well received by aikidoka from a variety or backgrounds and styles. Due to the success of this seminar, two events followed in 2006 in Kilburn, London.

The first full weekend UKAE event was held over the weekend of the 24th and 25th February at Ren Shin Kan Dojo in the West Midlands. Full details can be found in the "Updates" section

Membership to UKAE is free, though if you are interested in off the mat Aikido you are encouraged to join Aiki Extensions Inc. Follow the Membership link
